Jay Groovara is a singer songwriter and improvisationalist from Southern England. He has been writing original material and performing for several years now, gigging across the Uk, Ireland and the United States.
Of particular note is his ability to come up with a song based on audience suggestions. Give him three ideas and they will give you a narrative in song. It might not be the next Justin Bieber hit but it will be something you can call your own. "The song writing process comes very easily to me…" States Jay. "improvisation is really just an extension of that art in its purest form"

THE DEAD NYMPHETTES JOIN JGB !
​
The JGB were recently graced by the presence of the provocative Dead Nymphettes, who danced and serenaded for them at Punk Fest PUNK DEMIC in Chichester over this Halloween. "I was very pleased to have them onboard" Said Jay. "I saw them perform with Jimmy & The Death Rattles just before Lockdown 2020 and was totally blown away!"
So it may turn out that the band will have them back for future shows and The Dead Nymphettes will become a regular feature of their live stage antics.
MUSIC VIDEO
Six Months, 168 days and numerous hours later the music video to the popular song "Zombies" is now online. Featuring thirty zombies, the talents of Jonny Lightning VFX and Retro Central Studios, the music video is the most ambitious to date. Utilising green screen techniques and real location work, to blend the ideas together of a post apocalyptic world, ruled by zombies.

ALBUM - DELAYED

Well its about time folks. Jay Groovara's first album hopes to re-ignite his interest in live performance.
"Im hoping that if enough people like the music , they'll come and see the shows too, maybe even buy the Album, its been a while"
Despite performing on the music circuit for many years, the concept of doing an album has only come about of recent. "I guess I kept putting it off, because life usually conspires to put these things to the back of the pecking order but at the same time nothing gets done - so yeah - Im doing it now"
The album is currently under production, blending traditional and digital recording techniques. Music wise it will
be a collection of 12 folk rock songs, flavoured with Grunge, Americana and bluesy approaches. "in some ways, it will be a very American album, because those are my influences - I'm not really trying to re-invent the wheel, just make an rock album and see if anyone likes it"
No release date has been confirmed of yet but the Album is projected to be completed by late 2023.
